Conditions

Are you considering using the services of kamera-Service?

Email or call to deliberate about the defect/the required maintenance. On the basis of the available information -and before you hand in the equipment- an estimate of the expected work (and the possible part/s that need replacing) will be made and an orientation price will be given (possible shipping fees, 30 Euros workshop materials & handling per order and 21% VAT will be added on the invoice).

In general, all work will be carried out as a CLA. This way the correct, technical performance of your equipment can be guaranteed (along with a six-month warranty on performed labor ). Mentioned prices are based on an hourly rate/the expected amount of work. In f.e. the following cases you can expect an additional price estimate:

  • Damage due to falling/bumping/water/moisture,
  • Defective, worn out or missing (spare) parts,
  • Inspection & repair of earlier unprofessional work (and/or damage caused by that) on equipment .

If you don’t agree on the estimate, examination costs will be charged (based on the needed time to determine the problem with the equipment & possible time for reassembly). Kamera-Service works on a no-cure-no-pay-basis; this means that if the equipment cannot be repaired, time/labour will not charged (except shipping costs). You can also part with the equipment without any costs; we will then use it for parts.

You can send in your equipment by using the shipping form (see bottom menu). It is advisable to pack your parcel well and solid; check your local postal services for sending parcels registered/insured/with track & trace service. You will be notified when your parcel has arrived at the workshop.

If you are sending in equipment from outside the EU: make sure you add a ‘pro forma invoice’ in a plastic sleeve on the outside of the parcel (ask your customs service) and fill in the international customs declaration form correctly: ‘used/broken/vintage photo equipment’, ‘to be repaired’. If you don’t, chances are we have to pay import duties and taxes; in which case we will decline.

You can also bring in your equipment personally; please make an appointment and fill out the delivery form (see bottom menu).

Payments

After the work on your equipment is done, you will receive an (international) invoice with IBAN/BIC info by e-mail. As soon as the payment is in the account of Kamera-Service, the parcel will be sent off (you will be notified by UPS).

EU companies (that can provide a verifiable EU VAT ID number) and clients residing outside the EU, won’t be charged VAT.

In the case of personal pick up at the workshop: you can pay in advance via bank or in cash. Contactless payments with debit cards, Apple Pay and other digital wallets are also possible.

Parcels will be shipped back insured and through UPS exclusively. Shipping costs depend on destination and the weight of the parcel. All shipping costs (including insurance) will be added on your invoice. Kamera-Service takes the utmost care of packaging and sealing the parcel. Outside Europe/the EU: the equipment will be sent as ‘repaired/returned goods’ in conformity with the international customs instructions. We are not responsible for any delays and/or costs due to customs handling.

There’s a six month guarantee on the carried out labor, unless otherwise mentioned on the invoice. There’s no guarantee on damages caused by: liquids, humidity, sand, falling, bumping, battery leakage, intervention by third parties or another cause then the primary defect. If these are detected during repair, normal repair conditions will prevail.

While your equipment is under care in the kamera-Service workshop, it is secondary insured for damage or theft. This means you will first have to appeal to your own fire and theft or valuables insurance. Transportation damage of equipment which has been sent back to you, should be reported to Kamera-Service asap. Kamera-Service  will report the case to her transport insurance agency.
